Description
Now an adult, Izabelle has to go back to the hoarded house where she grew up after her elderly hoarder father has a nasty accident and is not allowed home from hospital until his house is safe for his return. She visits the house daily to try to sort out the mess, while from his hospital bed, her father insists she throws nothing out. She unearths many memories from her childhood, some truly bizarre items, and her late mother’s diaries, which lead her to discover the real reason for her early death.
Why does one man need 173 shoes or eight broken TV’s in one room? Why did he keep her school shoes for 40 years?
This is a true story from Izabelle Winter written in a light and humorous yet heartfelt tone.
